SCROLL DOWN FOR PANDEMIC PERSPECTIVES VIRTUAL TOUR

MountainTrotter Arts is teaming up with Happy Sprout Gardens to present an outdoor exhibit, open to all Radford residents. This unique opportunity is first of its kind in Radford; the purpose of this exhibition is to provide a creative outlet for Radford residents to artfully express their response to the pandemic, and to provide an outdoor artful destination for NRV residents to safely view and experience art.

What is your artful response to Life During the Time of Covid-19? What has your journey been like? Has it been one of hope? Of upheaval? Boredom? Something else? What have you learned about yourself, or the people you have quarantined with? Do you feel “we are all in this together”, or something entirely different? Are you different now than you were before the pandemic? How has life changed for you?

PANDEMIC PERSPECTIVES

July 20th - October 11th Central Depot Courtyard, Radford

SOCIALLY DISTANCED OPENING RECEPTION: July 20th, 2pm-8pm

ELIGIBILITY:

While the submission deadline has passed, Pandemic Perspectives was open to all NRV residents of all ages. Pieces were created during the COVID-19 Pandemic and in response to the artist's journey & feeling during this time. Artists were encouraged to create 2 or 3D art, knowing that the exhibit is outdoors and subject to environmental & human interactions. Pieces were chosen for their creativity, originality, and response to the theme. A panel of committee members (consisting of local artisans, art enthusiasts, and MTA Board members) carefully chose each work that would be displayed in the Pandemic Perspectives exhibit.
