ABOUT MOUNTAINTROTTER ARTS

MountainTrotter Arts is a non-profit organization based in Radford, VA. With volunteer members, MTA is dedicated to showcasing and advocating for local artists, musicians, and creators. By creating free local events, MTA not only supports the local arts, but encourages the community to learn from the arts, enjoy what the arts has to offer, and shop local & small. Our events are proud to be inclusive and open to all.

MountainTrotter Arts welcomed their new Executive Director, Lauri Murphy, in 2018. The organization has since revitalized their mission and expanded their board and programming. Lauri has always been a strong advocate for local artisans, crafters, and makers and has been a dedicated volunteer in the city of Radford. Along with like-minded board members, MTA is dedicated to bringing quality events in our home town.

What We Do

WHAT WE DO

MountainTrotter Arts hosts and partners with a variety of local events throughout the year which not only enrich our local community & economy but offer a variety of family-friendly and community oriented activities that are open to all. We strive to continuously collaborate and partner with other non-profit organizations, local entities, and businesses in our area. We have a variety of skill sets to offer in partnerships, including Marketing & Graphic Design knowledge, Federal Music Licensing, Networking, and local connections to name a few.

Furthermore, MTA strives to provide environmental sustainability at each of our events by offering recycling, conscious elements, and partnering with local organizations to provide composting & other green initiatives.

MoutainTrotter Arts is able to provide these free events to the community through partnerships with local businesses. We are honored to work alongside The Radford Heritage Foundation & The Glencoe Mansion, Museum, and Gallery for many of our events. We gladly take donations to help assist us in costs of events and welcome partnerships and sponsorships.
